MOLDOVA COMBATING ILLEGAL DISTRIBUTION OF GOODS
Chisinau. The Moldova State Agency for Industrial Property (AGEPI) together with the CIS Executive Council is combating the illegal distribution of goods, State Agency for Industrial Property (AGEPI) Director General Dorin Chirosca said this at a News conference in Infotag on Thursday.
He summarized the results of the just-concluded XVII sitting of the participants in the Agreement on Terminating Transgressions in the field of intellectual property, in the course of which they discussed problems of the unsanctioned distribution of goods and violations of intellectual property rights.
In Head of the Federal Intellectual Property Service Boris Simonov’s opinion, consumers themselves encourage the sale of pirate goods by purchasing cheap products.
At the same time, he recognizes that it will be necessary to take considerable efforts in order to make licensed information and high-quality products accessible for people.
By pulling together efforts of all the CIS states we promote and defend the national property both in our own country and at other markets. As a result incomes may increase”, Simonov said.
The next sitting of the Joint Working Commission of the CIS States will take place in May 2009 in Minsk.
