PARLIAMENTARIAN STATES HIS SON WAS ATTACKED FOR POLITICAL REASONS

Chisinau.  MP Vitalie Nagacevschi, a prominent Moldovan lawyer, organized a news conference in Infotag today to announce that his son Fadei had been attacked and severely bruised on Monday night, and that he has no doubt it was a political order.

He said his son was attacked at the door to his house by unknown masked people dressed in workers’ attires and wearing sportive shoes. That work done, they jumped into a BMW car parked nearby and having French license plates, and off they were.

He further held that his son was beaten up but not robbed. The young man was hospitalized with concussion of the brain. His father is sure the attack was organized to intimidate Fadei and make him give up his political activities. Like his father, the son is a Liberal Democratic Party member.

“Before I went in for politics in earnest, I had no problems of such kind whatsoever. But as soon as I began working in the party, the police detained my younger son without whatever grounds, and now somebody attacks my elder son. All this is done to force me into giving up politics or to temper my political activity”, said Nagacevschi, who presumes those were the Moldovan law enforcement acting by order of the ruling party.

Vitalie Nagacevschi stated he will neither quit politics nor slow down his activity.
