GERMAN EMBASSY PREPARING TRADITIONAL OPEN-AIR CONCERT
Next Sunday, July 18, the German Embassy to Moldova will arrange its 9th traditional annual open-air concert at the Green Theater in Chisinau.
Deputy Head of the diplomatic mission, Chief of the embassy’s culture department Julia Kahrl told a news conference in Infotag today the concert program includes music from world-favorite films to be played by the symphonic orchestra of the National Philharmonic Society.
Over 80 musicians of the Moldovan orchestra will play favorite tunes from many outstanding films that have made the history of the world cinematography over decades and have won many important cinema premiums, said the German diplomat.
“During the previous concerts organized by the Embassy of Germany, the Chisinau public showed themselves as a passionate amateurs of classical music. So, this year we have decided to arrange a concert of good music for people who have not yet gone for their leaves or who have already come back from leaves”, said Julia Kahrl.
She said the concert will be attended by the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Moldova Berthold Johannes, officials from the Republic of Moldova leadership, prominent Moldovan politicians.
Chisinau Organ Hall music secretary Jana Tudose, who will conduct the concert, said at the news conference that in the current situation of a political crisis and natural calamities, the concert will hopefully become a gulp of fresh air for the people.
Admission to the remarkable cultural event will be free. In case of nasty weather, the concert will be given in the National Philharmonic Society palace.
