ROMANIAN SOFTWARE DISTRIBUTOR TO LAUNCH ON MOLDOVAN IT MARKET

ROMANIAN SOFTWARE DISTRIBUTOR TO LAUNCH ON MOLDOVAN IT MARKET

A new company, Romanian Software Distributor came on the market of Moldova. It is part of the Romanian Romsym Data Romanian Software Distributor and intends to create a serious competition to the Moldovan market of IT technologies.

Executive Director Razvan Balint said the emergence of the new company was generated by a conflict between Romsym Data România and its daughter-company Romsym Data Moldova.

“We are not satisfied with the management’s activity and officially declare that Romsym Data România does not longer participate in the activity of Romsym Data Moldova”, said Balint, which explained that the company led by him will no longer offer any technical assistance to Romsym Data Moldova.

He mentioned he owns 40% of Romsym Data Moldova, while the rest belongs to other two Moldovan owners, including Romsym Data Moldova Director, Mihai Rusu.

“The brand that I have created is very valuable to me, and I want to leave Romsym Data Moldova only taking my brand with me. However, this is not yet possible, since Mihai Rusu registered the brand at the State Agency for Intellectual Property in 2009”, said Balint, saying that he will go to the court in order to regain the rights to the brand.

Romsym Data România intends to continue operating on the Moldovan market, this time by means of a new intermediate company, Romanian Software Distributor.

“All Romsym Data România investments in Moldova will be done through Romanian Software Distributor. I call the clients of Romsym Data Moldova to reorient to Romanian Software Distributor for purchasing IT products”, said Balint, stressing that “customers must know that by purchasing from Romsym Data Moldova they risk to buy a product with no warranty”.

Director of Romsym Data Moldova Mihai Rusu said the brand is registered on his name.

He said he offered Balint several variants of solving the conflict in a peaceful way, including selling his share of Moldovan company or vice versa, buying the share of Balint, but without any results.

Infotag dossier: The Romsym Data Romanian Software Distributor turnover constituted $5.5 million in 2009.
