SDP READY TO OFFER PARK RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT FOR FREE
The Social Democratic Party (SDP) is ready to provide the Chisinau Primaria [city government] with a project of reconstructing Valea Morilor Park worth 2 million lei for free.
At a news conference in Infotag, SDP Secretary General Sergiu Coropceanu said the project will be offered to the Chisinau Primaria [city government] as the party’s gift.
“The SDP’s Chisinau city subdivision proposes to create in Chisinau Primaria a municipal enterprise that will take over the responsibility for managing the park. It shall be to certify the ideas and concepts of all objects to be built and repaired. The enterprise shall receive documents from institutions authorized to hold investment tenders on which bases contracts will be signed. It grants a 25-50-year right to build and repair objects, during which the land remains in the state ownership. After this period, the infrastructure remains to Chisinau Primaria”, said Coropceanu.
He reminded the works on cleaning the lake started in 2007, and the Primaria was offered two technologies for cleaning.
“The first variant, which was applied, was related to water drainage from the lake. The second technology supposed removing the silt without drainage, which not only would not have harmed the flora and fauna, but would also have saved some money”, he said.
SDP Chairman also said Autocomtrans transport company, that won the tender, took on the responsibility to complete the works in nine months for 55 million lei, while an Italian company undertook to complete the works in six months for 30 million lei.
“Chisinau Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca signed a deal with Autocomtrans, knowing that it is only a transport company that does not dispose the equipment necessary for work. No actions were undertaken during three years, and now, the mayor promises to fill in the lake with water until the end of the year. This is impossible as technically, as practically”, said Coropceanu.
According to him, the SDP project presumes the reconstruction of the beach, park for children, and the Summer Theater, as well as the construction of an aqua park and restaurants, cafes, fountain and a sport complex.
