POPULAR PARTY APPEALS MARIAN LUPU TO BREAK UP WITH VLADIMIR PLAHOTNIUC
Chairman of the party “Actiunea Populara” [Popular Action] Sergiu Mocanu appeals leader of the Democratic Party of Moldova (DPM) Marian Lupu to “break up relationships with businessman Vladimir Plahotniuc”.
Mocanu said main purpose of his action “Moldova - without mafia, Moldova - without Plahotniuc” is to “provide a support to the Alliance for European Integration (AEI), which has a connection with Plahorniuc’s mafia via the party of Lupu”.
“I am begging Lupu to break up this connection with mafia, which extended its power to governmental institutions”, said Sergiu Mocanu.
He said he is acting only of his own accord, not under an order of some political power.”
He added he has no connection to Prime Minister Vladimir Filat, which, according to mass media, supposedly is trying to deprive his probable concurrent-Lupu of financial support in struggle for presidential post.
“I am not informed about the relationship between Plahotniuc and Filat, with whom I do not contact because of some personal reasons”, said Mocanu, but added that “some Filat’s party members are already working with Plahotniuc”.
Also, he disproved a journalists’ supposition that he acts for MCP and Voronin’ interests, because earlier Mocanu was functioning as counselor in special missions.
“I feel a deep humiliation to Voronin because he attempted on my family’s life, and sometimes when I am alone, I feel fear”, said ex-presidential counselor.
He said his campaign against Plahotniuc is supported by a 2-month registered “group of young people” titled “European values without limits”. In its turn, the organization is supported by some “experts”, and European donors “are considering the possibility of its financing”.
“You could use this financial assistance for your journalistic investigation”, said Mocanu.
He reaffirmed the accusations said earlier against Plahotniuc that he made raider attacks to the commerce center Gemenii, meat factory Carmez, enterprise Franzeluta, Victoriabank, MoldATSA, Aroma, hotel Codru, where supposedly is placed his office and he holds meetings with authority representatives, which are video taped. According to Mocanu, Plahotniuc meets here “Oleg Reidman, Iurie Munteanu and Igor Dodon (deputy of the MCP)”.
He said the businessman owns television channels - Prime, 2 Plus, TV3 (which retransmits Canal 3 Moscova), EuTV; radio stations – Radio Maestro, Radio Antena A; advertising agency Angels; informational agency Reporter.md; newspaper Evenimentul Zilei.
Mocanu gave to journalists some materials about “the mafia-controlled network of Plahotniuc in state institutions”, where appears chairman of the National Commission in Financial Market Mihai Cibotaru, ministers Valeriu Lazar, Marcel Raducanu, Alexander Oleinic.
It became known that today Vladimir Plahorniuc’s lawyer Larisa Aporschi registered a claim against Mocanu in a court of Riscani sector [Chisinau city district] “for protection of honor, dignity and professional reputation” of her client. According to the claim, Mocanu’s statements caused to Plahotniuc a serious moral and financial damage.
