LABOUR PARTY REQUESTING FROM FILAT TO REFUSE REDUCING ELECTION CAMPAIGN DURATION
The Labour Party of Moldova is asking the Liberal Democratic Party, leaded by Prime Minister Vladimir Filat, to refuse reducing the duration of election campaigns to 30 days from 60.
“The bill proposed by the LDPM is pursuing other objects, and the reducing duration of election campaign infringes directly political civil rights”, said leader of the LPM Gheorghe Sima.
Sima said “the main reason of the LDPM’s initiative was that this party is not interested to devote to much time in explaining to citizens the reasons of organized by the party antisocial illegal actions and measures. According to him, the LDPM took such measures as reduction of pensions and salaries, raising of utility rates and food prices, also school and kindergarten’s closure, reduction of teachers’ salaries, etc.
The labors’ leader said that LDPM leadership needs a “lightning” election campaign to masquerade all its failures, including negative consequences of all its antisocial campaigns.
