SERGIU MOCANU PRESENTS “WITNESSES OF PLAHOTNIUC’S MAFIA”
On Wednesday, former counselor of Ex-President Vladimir Voronin and leader of the Actiunea Populara [Popular Action] Movement, Sergiu Mocanu presented “witnesses and documentary proofs of the lawless actions, produced by Vladimir Plahotniuc”.
Director of Gemenii store Ilie Rotaru, director of the Carmez Anatol Chislaru, former shareholders of the Victoriabank Victor Topa and Viorel Topa, former director of the Franzeluta company Spiridon Danilescu were presented at the conference. According to them, they all have suffered from raider attacks of Plahotniuc and his corrupted judges.
Sergiu Mocanu said that presented documentary copies and witnesses – are “only an iceberg’s peak of the Plahotniuc’s mafia”. “Primer Filat in an interview called this struggle with mafia as a showdown. I would not want us to come to a shoot-out because the state has no possibility to fight against mafia-controlled structures, which penetrated into government bodies”, Mocanu said.
The movement leader confirmed his recently statements that The Democratic Party leaded by Marian Lupu has assigned its representatives in the Center for Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption (CCECC), Prosecutor General’s Office and judicial system. He added he does not act against the Alliance for European Integration (AEI).
“More than that, thanks to the alliance, which came to power after July, 29, 2009, these people can appear before you”, said Mocanu to journalist, but added he is not going to sit on his hands and watch running state processes, which are influenced by Plahotniuc, and named him as “Trojan horse of the alliance”.
Mocanu estimated Filat’s statement that he feels upset even more than Lupu as Filat is trying to “wash his hands” of the action “Moldova – without mafia, Moldova – without Plahotniuc”. But Mocanu added he is glad that Filat ordered to investigate the case.

Businessmen Viorel Topa and Victor Topa, who represent a stockholder group of the Victoriabank, has accused businessman Vladimir Plahotniuc of illegal acquisition of the bank’s stocks.
Victor Topa called the Plahotniuc’s acquisition of bank assets as “biggest theft of Moldova and even of Europe”. “This happened in a day. Stockholders came to general meeting, but he (Plahotniuc) said with a sly smile on his mouth “why did you come?”. They said they want to register for general meeting, but they could not find themselves in stockholder lists”, Victor Topa said. And he added in the capture scheme was involved the Economic Court, which “deprived the stockholders of their bank share in a night”.
“This guy is terrorizing the whole country, he does whatever he wants. He appropriated meat imports, mobile phone imports, precious metal exports, electricity imports, and now he wants the power”, Topa said.
He added Victoriabank stockholders can not seek for a justice in the law enforcements.
“You go to prosecution – there are his (Plahotniuc’s) people, you go to the Center for Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption – and there are his people”, Victor Topa said.
Viorel Topa said that bank stockholders do not consider them as criminals, in spite of many court examinations which they passed through.
“We are not criminals and we are guilty only of that Plahotniuc had an eye on our business. No one of us has violated laws, we have no tickets for traffic violations, but we were exposed to attacks, tortures and searches. There are some people who committed suicide because they could not endure this terror”, Topa said.
“We can not seek for a justice in the prosecutor’s offices, neither in the CCECC, which are attacking us, nor in the courts because their decisions are made in the Nobil Club. The last state redoubt is –you”, Topa said this to journalists.
Viorel Topa said the accusations of machinations, when he was the Banca de Economii’s president, brought against him was an “improvisation” and the “case is closed”

GEMENII’S DIRECTOR ACCUSES PLAHOTNIUC OF STORE’S RAIDER CAPTURE …
Lawyer and ex-director of the Gemenii store Ilie Rotaru accused businessman Vladimir Plahotniuc of raider capturing the company.
He said some criminal and administrative proceedings were filed against him with a purpose to remove him from store’s guidance; also he was exposed to prosecutions and pressures from law enforcements.
“Igor Prisacaru, appointed to the manager’s post after my removal, is the right hand of Marian Lupu’s friend – Vladimir Plahotniuc”, Rotaru said.
He said he addressed a letter to solve this problem to the Prime Minister, the Government, on his turn, redirected me to Prosecutor General’s Office, but I still have no answer”, said ex-manager of the Gemenii store.
“Have you seen that at least a judge would be appointed to this post after a direct competition? All Moldovan judges are someone’s relatives, neighbors, godfathers, and solve their personal problems”, said the lawyer.
… WHILE CARMEZ DIRECTOR MAKES CONTROVERSIAL DECLARATIONS
Director General of meat processing factory Carmez Anatol Caslaru maintains that in 2007-2008, the factory was subjected to raider attacks, for which Center for Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption (CCECC) initiated several baseless verifications of the factory. He thinks the attack was accomplished by Globauto Company, owned by Vladimir Plahotniuc.
This was the declaration he made at the press conference on Wednesday, even though less than a week ago, Caslaru affirmed that “Mr. Plahotniuc is not involved in the problems that Carmez and he personally have faced”.
“I know the real authors of the raider attacks the company and me, personally, were subjected to, and soon I will announce their names”, declared then Caslaru, asking Sergiu Mocanu not to publicly use his name and the name of the company he is managing.
However, at the press conference on Wednesday, he declared the “terror” has started right after Globauto bought 6.8% of the company’s shares.
“The stockholders’ assembly that was held with law violations, made changes in the statute of the company, and in the same day after 5 o’clock, when the working day has ended, the changes were registered in the State Register. The registrar, Ludmila Svirepova, is working in the State Registrar until today”, maintains Caslaru.
He said that after he was arrested on April 21, 2009 for 41 days, “the plotters have stolen 10 million lei from the enterprise”.
Caslaru maintain that he did not know what is a raider attack until he found out the meaning of this word from the leader of the Democratic Party Marian Lupu in the last year’s elections campaign, when he announced that Plahotniuc participated in raider takeovers and in “meat mafia”.
Carmez director expressed his hope that Sergiu Mocanu’s action “Moldova without mafia. Moldova – without Plahotniuc” will stop the terror between businessmen.
