SERGIU MOCANU HOPES AEI IS NOT CONTROLLED BY VLADIMIR PLAHOTNIUC
“I hope that the Alliance for European Integration (AEI)’s concrete is not originated from the Plahotniuc brand name”, said leader of the Actiunea Populara [Popular Action] Sergiu Mocanu on Wednesday. He presented “new witnesses, new proofs and evidences of unlawful actions made by businessman Vladimir Plahotniuc”.
Mocanu said that many people were waiting for some changes after the July-29-2009 elections, but it did not happen.
“I asked Moldovan political leaders, especially Marian Lupu, to dissociate them from Vladimir Plahotniuc. He, however, decided to announce in public him (Plahotniuc) as his friend. And Urecheanu supported him”, Mocanu said and added if “Plahotniuc goes there where he came from, the AEI becomes more powerful”.
Mocanu is sure “everybody knows that mafia exists in Moldova”. He added he does not know real dimensions of Plahotniuc’s fortune.
“I guess that billions which are ascribed to him do not exist. I do not think he succeeded to steal billions. Probably, he is a multimillionaire in euros, owner of the money which he succeeded to steal in times of Vladimir Voronin. It is important that Plahotniuc has cash money, that is, money that he receives every day of elaborated fraudulent schemes”, Mocanu said.
The Actiunea Populara leader said “struggle that he started against Moldovan mafia, will continue.”
