Parliamentary Advocate Tamara Plamadeala urges authorities to take more severe measures against teachers abusing children.

January 30 is the School Day of Non-Violence and Peace. On Thursday, at press-conference in INFOTAG agency, the parliamentary ombudswoman said that the number of psychological, verbal and physical attacks against pupils has recently increased, and this fact should alarm the authorities.

According to her, teachers often allow psychological pressure, especially when parents refuse to pay to school funds or class funds. She believes that the Moldovan Education Ministry has to review the policy with respect to teachers.
