SMALL BUSINESS ASSOCIATION CALLS ON AUTHORITIES TO ALLOW ENTREPRENEURS TO WORK ON BASIS OF PATENT On Tuesday, small business representatives resume protests in front of the parliament, requiring legislators work permit on patents.

 

On Wednesday, at a press conference in Infotag the Chairman of the small business association Eugen Roscovan with a group of entrepreneurs said, that for five years the authorities promise to take amendments to the legislation that would allow quick and convenient way of business organization on the basis of patent.

 

An entrepreneur Magdalena Percic engaged in cultivation and flower sale said, that patent is the most appropriate and practical document for such activities, which gives the right to work.

 

The Head of the small business association drew attention of the press to worsening of conditions for doing business in Moldova, and lack of reforms in economy, which would improve the business environment in the country.

 

According to him, for many entrepreneurs is very convenient to pay for the patent or a fixed tax and then to do legally their work. More than 45000 small business representatives, who are comfortable to work on the basis of patent, ask such practice from the state.

 

Eugen Roscovan said that many EU countries practice fixed tax, which gives the right to do some time this or that activity.

 

He said that in Ukraine, for example, patents are valid in all spheres of economy, which is convenient for small business. Infotag’s dossier: In Moldova the following charges are applied for patents: in Chisinau – 600 lei, in raion centers – 300 lei and in villages – 100 lei. Those whishing to obtain patent agree to pay even more of it cost to receive the right from the state for any activity on the basis of patent.
