MP GRIGORE PETRENCO TO CHECK LAW ENFORCEMENT BODIES FOR IMPARTIALITY

08 september, 2014
MP GRIGORE PETRENCO TO CHECK LAW ENFORCEMENT BODIES FOR IMPARTIALITY MP Grigore Petrenco of the Communist Party faction has decided to test for impartiality the Prosecutor General’s Office and commissions for integrity and for struggle against corruption.

Petrenco stated at a news conference at Infotag today that he will send applications to the above-mentioned agencies and will attach photographs and a description of the luxurious villa belonging to Vlad Plahotniuc, the First Deputy Chairman of the Democratic Party and one of the country’s richest and mightiest oligarchs. In his words, Vlad Plahotniuc has never mentioned the villa in his income declarations.

Grigore Petrenco said that only 4 days before, he visited the legendary Lake of Geneva, namely that part of the coast where the fashionable mansions of the world’s richest people are situated.

“I went to the town of Sciez, to the elite community where stars, multimillionaires and billionaires live. There, on the first line, namely on Avenue du Vion nr. 44 lies the mansion of Mr. Plahotniuc’s that has not been mentioned even in a single declaration of incomes and property. The mail box at the entry bears the name of Plahotniuc’s wife [Ocsana Childescu]”, said the parliamentarian.

Grigore Petrenco compared the all-mighty oligarch with himself.

“In 2013, the above-mentioned agencies “found out” that I had failed to declare my shares to an amount of 190 lei (US$13). That discovery served the reason of starting a criminal litigation against me. All the television channels owned by Plahotniuc started pouring dirt upon me and exposing me as a person concealing property and incomes from the state. Misters Gurin, Donciu and Chetraru [heads of the Prosecutor General’s Office and above-mentioned commissions], are you so weak to start a criminal case against Plahotniuc?” asked Petrenco.

He promised to submit the photographs and other materials to the structures concerned and also to address to Moldova’s development partners.

“I am ready to go even further – to organize for Moldovan gastarbeiters in Europe a car trip to the Lake of Geneva. Let them see where money from the State Budget goes – the money laundered by Plahotniuc and his surrounding by using smart schemes of tax evasion”, said the lawmaker.

In conclusion, Grigore Petrenco recommended journalists not to forget about conscience and to self-censor their writings when they prepare press articles by orders of their masters the oligarchs.
