POLITICAL SCIENTIST BOGDAN TARDEA ACCEDES TO PARTY OF SOCIALISTS

26 september, 2014
POLITICAL SCIENTIST BOGDAN TARDEA ACCEDES TO PARTY OF SOCIALISTS Prominent Moldovan political scientist Bogdan Tardea has announced that he had joined the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM).

Speaking at a news conference at Infotag today, Tardea explained that he is fed up watching from aside the political processes unfolding in Moldova.

“The existing problems cannot be solved only by criticism or by showing the authorities at their drawbacks and errors. Action is necessary for this – efficient work. In this sense, the only political party in Moldova remaining free of oligarchs and independent of them is the Party of Socialists”, explained the expert.

In his words, it took him quite long to come to this decision concerning the beginning of an active political career.

“But seeing what these authorities have done to the country, I guess my choice is understandable. One cannot tolerate any further this abnormal, ugly fruit of the currently ruling political criminal team… I regard this ruling regime to be an ‘oligarchate’, when the regime consists of political parties headed by Euro-multimillionaires, who have subdued the whole country, with all law enforcement agencies being at their feet. This cannot continue any longer”, presumes Bogdan Tardea.

The analyst mentioned two more reasons why he has stopped his choice on the Party of Socialists.

“It has genuine, talented economists in its leadership – PSRM Chairman Igor Dodon, with his experience of a First Deputy Premier and ex-Minister of Economy, and of course Zinaida Grechanaya, Moldova’s former Prime Minister and Minister of Finance. They are perhaps the only politicians in Moldova who not only talk but propose a concrete anti-crisis plan for bringing the republic out of the current crisis, which the present-day rulers have thrown Moldova into”, said Tardea.

The political scientist is convinced that the Socialists-proposed accession to the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan and a strategic partnership with Russia are now as vitally necessary for Moldova as never before.

“We need to be friends with and to cooperate economically with great and mighty Russia, where some 700 thousand Moldovan gastarbeiters earn their and their native country’s living. Our main fuel – natural gas – comes to us from Russia, which is a gigantic market, where Moldova-made goods feel at home”, said Tardea.

He presumes that a Left-Centrist coalition will be formed in the new Parliament. As for the constituent parties of the incumbent ruling Coalition for Pro-European Governance (CEG), they are barely able to clear the 6% electoral barrier, judging by latest sociological researches.

“The biggest two of them – the Liberal Democratic Party and Democratic Party – have popularity ratings of around 6-6.5%, despite their boundless administrative resource and full control over financial flows. This means that citizens do not perceive them seriously as they are fed up with the rulers’ unending corruption fuss and lawlessness”, said Bogdan Tardea.

He is convinced that the Communist Party and Party of Socialists, whose ratings are growing, “will win minimum 53% altogether. And if Renato Usatii gets to parliament in no matter what company, these three forces may well form a constitutional majority”.

He presumes a bloc of Communists and Socialists is possible, but everything will depend on whether Vladimir Voronin wants power or not.

“In previous years, he was ready to get united even with the devil himself for the sake of having power. Let’s wait a little and see what will be now. The coalition parties, with their full administrative resource, can falsify 4-5% ballots, but they indeed cannot rig 53%. It is apparent that the new Parliament is going to have another configuration of power, with an active role to be played by the Party of Socialists and Communist Party”, believes Botanica.
