MP Grigore Petrenco [Deputy Chairperson of the Unified European Left group in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe] maintains that the bodyguard agency Argus-S, owned by First Deputy Chairman of the Democratic Party Vlad Plahotniuc, is training fighters to be used in provocations after the elections – all by the order of Plahotniuc.

 

At his news conference at Infotag today, the parliamentarian demonstrated a video record featuring how about 20 well-built men are undergoing a shooting practice by using submachine guns equipped with night vision sights. Petrenco stated that Argus-S employs foreign instructors as well.

 

He opinioned that the fighters, under the disguise of Antifa organization activists, may well be used for organizing provocations before or right after the parliamentary elections for the only purpose of destabilizing situation in the republic at no matter what cost.

 

“Plahotniuc and his henchmen from the Democratic Party perfectly realize that their chances to get to parliament are minimal. The Democrats are actually balancing on the brink of the electoral barrier of 6%, and most probably they will fail to overcome the barrier. Accordingly, they will have to stand responsibility for all the violations and crimes they have committed”, said Petrenco.

 

The parliamentarian believes it is not at all by chance that the radical wing of Transnistrian armed conflict veterans, acting under the DP instructions, organized a disgusting brawl with Transnistrian president Yevgeny Shevchuk’s bodyguards at the Chisinau airport last week.

 

“On Thursday, one of the television channels under the DP’s control [Vlad Plahotniuc owns 5 channels having a nation-wide coverage] showed a leader of the combatants, Alexandru Caraman, who stated that it’s high time for Moldova to resolve the Transnistrian conflict by using military force. What is it? This is a public appeal to unleashing a new warfare, or “War Propaganda” falling under Article 140 of the Criminal Code. This TV channel is intimidating the population with bogeyman stories about ‘Antifa extremists’. All this information and propaganda is conceived by and is coming from the electoral headquarter of Plahotniuc’s”, stated the Parliament deputy.

 

Grigore Petrenco called upon the Information and Security Service (ISS) to stop interfering into the electoral process.

 

“The ISS, obeying Plahotniuc’s orders, is leaking into the Internet video films showing some kind of extremists allegedly ready to organize pogroms, like the ones on April 7, 2009, on the following day after the parliamentary elections. Needless to say that Plahotniuc’s five television channels rush at this television fake, shoot new films, organize public debates and what not, thus stepping up a psychosis in the country. What for? For canceling the election results should they appear to be bad for the Democratic Party, or to create an intolerable situation in Moldova before November 30, so the elections would be put off until an uncertain date”, explained the deputy.

 

Grigore Petrenco addressed directly to Prosecutor General Corneliu Gurin with a demand to start a criminal litigation against Vlad Plahotniuc for his training the illicit subdivisions of fighters.

 

Petrenco also address the DP First Deputy Chairman, saying “Mr. Plahotniuc, it’s not late yet, pack your bags, order a charter flight and run away from Moldova. Don't wait until the law enforcement come to you and make you stand responsibility for all your deeds. Run away, I tell you, or you will find yourself in jail”, said Grigore Petrenco, who is standing for parliament the 4th on the Patria Party ticket.
