GERMAN BUNDESTAG PROVIDES INTERNATIONAL PARLIAMENTARY SCHOLARSHIP The German Bundestag [parliament] announces acceptance of applications for international scholarship for three Moldovan citizens.

 

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Moldova Ulrike Knotz said at the Tuesday’s news conference at Infotag that this is an opportunity for Moldovan youth to get acquainted with work of the German Parliament and the process of taking political decisions, as well as to meet participants in the project on democratization from 25 countries.

 

Candidate for the stipend should be citizen of Moldova, have complete higher education, good German language skills and be up to 30 years old. The beneficiaries of the stipend will be monthly receiving 500 euros, free housing, repayment of costs for transport and insurance. If one has his own housing, he is being paid 300 euros monthly, the Ambassador said.

 

The set of necessary documents should be submitted until June 30, while in October a special commission from Germany will select three candidates. The internship will take place within the period of March 1 – July 31, 2016. The stipend is provided to 120 participants from different countries.

 

Winner of the stipend in 2008 Andrei Zapanovici said that during the internship in Germany, he was every day engaged in many activities starting from compiling reports to initiating political projects.

 

“I had an opportunity to improve my knowledge at the faculty of law in one of German universities. I also attended lectures in other universities of Berlin”, said Zapanovici, who is currently working in the project on modernizing agricultural public services in Moldova.
