Candidate to Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) Andrei Donica is seeking punishment of city Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca and municipal councilors, who voted for land plots distribution during the last meeting.

 

He said during Thursday’s news conference at Infotag that on May 25, he submitted to the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) an inquiry to start criminal case and investigate the May 19 illegal distribution of land.

 

According to him, Chirtoaca knew about the fact that the land plots will be distributed with violations.

 

“Also, secretary Valeriu Didenco knew about this and he should be punished together with the Mayor and councilors, who voted for adoption of more than 480 land drafts, should be brought to justice. During searches in Primaria, law enforcement confiscated all the documents and drafts, adopted during the last meeting of the CMC”, Donica said.

 

He added that all the guilty will be punished and the lawlessness will stop only if the criminal scheme on illegal land plots distribution will be destroyed. So far, a case on the recent CMC meeting was started, but later other cases will appear.

 

Candidate for Chisinau Council said that checks in Primaria were carried out after his official addressing to the PGO.

 

“We, candidates to the CMC from the voting bloc “Lista Poporului” [People’s List], have been fighting against lawlessness of local authorities for already 5 years not just6 in words, but addressing directly to various institutions and achieving justice. After local elections we will continue the fight”, he said.

 

Donica said the criminal investigation should and will be brought to an end, as this is an unprecedented case and large-scale misappropriation.
