PATRIA PARTY CALLING CHISINAU CITIZENS TO VOTE FOR ZINAIDA GRECHANAYA

The Patria Party of Moldova has called upon Chisinau citizens to cast their ballots on June 28 for Zinaida Grechanaya, the Party of Socialists candidate though not a party member.

Patria Party Chairman Emil Ciobu, Moldova’s former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Romania, stated at a news conference at Infotag today that Chisinau’s destiny will be determined on June 28.

“Last 8 years of city management by Liberal mayor Dorin Chirtoaca have not brought development or tidiness to our capital. Instead of improvements, Chisinau has developed into a dump, where rubbish fills streets and parks, where apartment houses are not heated, roofs leak, where illegal construction is run everywhere, and where utility problems would not be solved properly”, said Emil Ciobu.

He warned that Chisinau will be simply unable to withstand 4 more years of such a disaster.

“The Patria Party Council is convinced that local elections are not a platform for geopolitics. The city needs to be governed by a real manager – a well-educated and efficient administrator. We are addressing to all Chisinau citizens no matter their political preferences:  Don't be indifferent. We live in this city, so we must save if from Dorin Chirtoaca who has already proved he is incapable of making Chisinau a European capital”, stressed Emil Ciobu.

The Infotag’s dossier:  The Patria Party is the Republic of Moldova’s youngest political formation, registered with the Ministry of Justice on September 12, 2014. So far, Patria’s two discernable achievements have been:  last autumn, Renato Usatii agreed to head its list of candidates for the November 30, 2014 parliamentary elections; and its memorable withdrawal from the parliamentary campaign only 3 days before the voting date on charges of “non-transparent campaign financing” and of “using foreign money”.
