“Our Home is Moldova” party leader Grigore Petrenco has announced the organization’s accession to the September 6 rally of protest being organized by the Civil Platform “Demnitate si Adevar” [DA, “Dignity and Justice”].

 

Petrenco stated at a news conference at Infotag on Wednesday: “Time has come for us all to push aside the principles of party affiliation or language affiliation and to get united around one common goal – overthrowing of the current anti-people oligarchic regime in Moldova”.

 

He called upon all citizens of Moldova to assemble in the Great National Assembly Square on the first Sunday in September to demand 4 main conditions.

 

“Namely we demand that the predatory tariffs on natural gas and electricity must be cancelled; we demand to bring to responsibility all those people involved in the stealing of a billion euros from the three banks and to arrest oligarch Vlad Plahotniuc; power structures must be de-politicized, and the government must discharge Prosecutor General Corneliu Gurin, Director of the National Anti-Corruption Center (NACC) Viorel Chetraru and Minister of the Interior Oleg Balan; and finally we demand to suspend the Democratic Party and to recognize it as an organized criminal group”, said the ex-parliamentarian.

 

Grigore Petrenco announced that OHM is announcing the onset of a nation-wide mobilization for protests. The party will set up “Our Home is Moldova” tents in most of Moldovan raion centers and towns, where every willing person can learn more about the party’s demands and to subscribe to a march of protest.

 

“It’s only by joint effort that we will be able to overthrow this junta of thieves and robbers of the Moldovan people”, stated the OHM leader.
