YOUNG BUSINESSMEN INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN EASY BUSINESS CONFERENCE The Junior Chamber International (JCI) will conduct the National Conference Easy Business in Chisinau on October 10-11 and invites young entrepreneurs of Moldova.

 

JCI Chairman Ion Plamadeala said during Tuesday’s news conference at Infotag that around 100 participants have already applied, for whom a vast program has been drawn up: roundtables with businessmen, visits to large Moldovan companies, training on teamwork and new acquaintances.

 

“The national conference is organized for the fourth time already. It can be attended both by members of the JCI and everyone interested in acquiring business skills. Many entrants face such problem as lack of experience. Last year we included in the program of the conference the event Business Fails, where businessmen talk about the committed mistakes and how to overcome obstacles” he said.

 

Former JCI Chairman Ion Bargan said that another interesting event will be the Business Network Event, where all the participants will have the opportunity to meet each other.

 

“In terms of format this resembles to the so-called speed dating. Participants are sitting at tables in pairs and each has 2.5 minutes to tell about his/her activity. After this the interlocutors interchange and the procedure repeats. Thus, participants will have the opportunity to make useful contacts in the sphere they are interested in”, he said.

 

JCI Deputy Chairman Nadejda Bondari added that the organization stands for active practicing of sport and healthy life-style. During the conference, young entrepreneurs in business suits will ride bikes.

 

“In the West many businessmen ride bikes and this is not regarded as something strange. In our country many think this is shameful and the status demands driving a luxury car”, she said.

 

According to the JCI representatives, offices of their organizations operate in Ungheni, Rezina and Soroca, while its field of activity does not limit to business, but also is engaged in different socio-cultural projects. Bondari said that they conducted meetings of schoolchildren with businessmen, provided charity aid to orphanages, as well as helped young people with physical disabilities to implement projects. In the nearest time, the JCI plans to open a book club in Chisinau.

 

Infotag’s dossier: The JCI was created back in 1915. Its basic goals are: activation of the international youth movement, development in young people of leadership skills, social responsibility, fellowship and entrepreneurship. At different times, members of this organization were US Presidents Richard Nixon, John F. Kennedy, Bill Clinton, George Bush, as well as Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso, Prince of Monaco Albert and many other well known personalities.
