KIRNEV FAMILY BAND WINS 12 AWARDS OF INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION WORLDSTARS-2015 “Family group Kirnev family band from Moldova won 12 medals in the international competition in the USA”, said its leader Pavel Chirnev.

 

“We participated in the international competition of performing arts WORLDSTARS-2015 in 12 nominations and in each of them we won a medal. We brought five gold and six silver and one bronze medal in Moldova. The competition was attended by almost 1000 representatives from 52 countries. Moldova went to the final this year for the first time and brought so many awards”, he said.

 

The contest was held in Los Angeles and consisted of three stages. 75 judges evaluated the contenders. The participants had a minute to present their turns. The final included representatives from the USA, Canada, Australia, Jamaica, South Africa, Hungary, Czech Republic, Indonesia, Ireland, Philippines, Holland, China, Puerto Rico and Moldova.

 

According to Chirneev, Grin Patrik, Director Chief of the contest who once worked with Elvis Presley, noted the Moldovan performers. He gave advice and recommendations that played an important role in the results of the performance.

 

“According to the jury, for 10 years there has not been such an attention to performs from Moldova, as in 2015 to Kirnev Family”, said its leader. The band plans to participate in a charity project with performances in the camp of Syrian refugees in Iraq as well as performances in Turkey.

 

Griff O'Neil, the international competition president wrote in a letter to the Moldovan band that their performance “inspired and made many talented people believe in themselves”. He called Moldovan ensemble “the embodiment of world-class talent”.
