DAYS OF RUSSIAN CULTURE AND SPIRITUALITY   Days of Russian culture and spirituality will be held in Moldova for the 12th time. They will be organized by the Coordination Council of the Russian compatriots of Moldova, Transnistria and Gagauzia, as well as the Congress of Russian Communities.

 

Its Chairperson Valerii Climenco said that the grand opening celebration of the Russian culture will be held in the National Philharmonic Hall on October 13 at 6 p.m., and will end the day with a concert in the Chisinau Organ Hall on October 18.

 

“Serghei Varsanov and Tatiana Gavrilita will perform songs of the Great Patriotic War in the concert on the opening day. The Congress will complete the cycle of events dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the great victory with this musical gift”, he stressed.

 

The program includes more than 40 conferences, exhibitions, master classes, seminars, free concerts, and presentation of books. They will be also held in Chisinau, Dondiuseni, Edinet, Ocnita, Comrat, Cahul and other raions.

 

“An exhibition of paintings and works of decorative plastics called “Many faces of the world through the eyes of young talents” will be organized in Chisinau library named after Lomonosov on October 14 at 3 p.m. Children from the Northern region of the country will present their creativity. The National Chamber orchestra with the participation of the French pianist Jonathan Baniciu will play the Russian chamber music of Tchaikovsky and Borodin in the Organ Hall on October 15 at 7 p.m.”, said Climenco.

 

Presentation of books will be organized at the Lomonosov library on October 16 at 2 p.m. The analysis of Russian poetry and prose in Moldova in the beginning of the 21st century will be presented. A concert of Russian classical music will be performed on the same day. National conference with the participation of representatives of Russian educational institutions on the theme “Russian education in the Republic of Moldova: status and prospects” will be organized in the conference hall of the university named after Constantin Stere on October 17 at 11 a.m.

 

“A seminar for teachers is planned on October 18 in the Independent International University of Moldova. The topic of the seminar will be “Modern trends in teaching Russian literature at school”. An open lesson on the topic “Theory and practice of training pupils to state final essay in the context of strategic tasks of philological education in Russia” will be at the same day. The lesson will be held by a guest from Moscow, methodologist of the Russian Open School M.V. Osmolovsky”, said Climenco.

 

The preparation of cultural and educational activities assistance was provided by the Russian Intellectual Center, Home of Russian Music in Moldova, National Philharmonic Serghei Lunchevici and Organ Hall.
