Activists of the People’s Movement “For Customs Union” will support Chisinau protests on October 10, said Chairman of the Movement Oleg Topolnistchi during Tuesday’s news conference at Infotag.

 

He said that they will support protests of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) and the Partidul Nostru [Our Party], but not of the DA Platform.

 

“Members of our Movement demand us to compile a list with concrete demands and start a resolute, but within legal frameworks, fight against the current authorities. In people’s opinion, Moldova with its 3.5-million population became hostage of criminal activity of 5-6 persons. The latter overrode everything, they should go away”, Topolnitschi said.

 

He enlisted all the demands the execution of which the movement will fight for: resignation of President, Prosecutor General, the entire Central Election Commission, National Anti-Corruption Center head, as well as conducting of early parliamentary elections.

 

“To start with, activists of the Movement “For Customs Union” plan to conduct preventive protest actions. The first protest will be conducted on October 10 in Balti. Later, other civil disobedience campaigns will be held. We will not disclose dates and places of their conducting. We are preparing surprises. But all protests will have exclusively peaceful character. We intend to act in coordination with the leadership of PSRM and Our Party, we have already reached an agreement in this regard”, said leader of the political formation, adding that the Movement aims at removing current parliamentary parties from power.
