MOLDOVA TO HOST XIV INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION INFOINVENT

The 14th international specialized exhibition InfoInvent, dedicated to innovations, will take place at the MoldExpo Center in Chisinau on November 25-28.

Director of the State Agency for Intellectual Property (AGEPI), Octavia Apostol said at press conference that it will involve more than 100 institutions from the field of science and innovation, higher education, inventors, and creative people from Moldova and from abroad. The participants will present to visitors and the international jury about 400 scientific and technical developments.

“The exhibition is a significant event for the scientific community and inventors to establish contacts with potential investors. The opening ceremony will take place in November 25 at 11 a.m. with participation of representatives of central government agencies, diplomatic missions, and international organizations in the field of intellectual property, inventors from the Republic of Moldova, Romania, Belarus, Poland, Iraq, Canada, Lithuania and Malaysia. Traditionally, round tables and seminars are organized in within the exhibition”, he noted.

According to the Director, a forum of women innovators and entrepreneurs from Moldova will be organized on the first day of the exhibition; a master-class on weaving from plant fibers will be held in the second day. In addition, a round table on “Success stories of creative business” will be organized at the Kentford business center. Exchange of inventors and new technologies in energy efficiency and renewable energy will take place on Friday November 27.

“On the same day, the InfoInvent winners will be awarded. Among the most important awards: the Moldovan Government prize “The Best Inventor”, awards of the international organization of intellectual property, AGEPI medals, diplomas of the Moldovan Academy of Sciences and Moldovan Academy of Sciences and Agency for Innovation and Technology Transfer (AITT), special prizes and awards of international invention salons”, he said.
The AITT Director Roman Chirca believes that it is necessary to attract as many people as possible, especially young people. Thus, in November 28 will be organized an interactive contest in the field of intellectual property for students “From idea to product”.

“Our agency will present 16 innovative projects. The last year exhibition focused on pharmaceutical and agricultural activities. This year - energy efficiency”, he said.
