A group of parents encourages parent committees from different pre-university education institutions to join together to create a common platform for discussing and solving problems in the education system.

 

Chairman of the public association Cervantes, Sergiu Popovici said at Tuesday’s press conference that any problems in schools affect children and this should not be.

 

“Children should grow up educated so they could have a good future in the country. In order to solve problems it is necessary for parents, teachers, the Ministry of Education, Chisinau Department of Education, Youth and Sport and authorities to unite and discuss problems, to find methods for their soltion”, said Popovici.

 

In his words, “until a platform is created and the name is chosen, anyone can report about problems in the education system by email suntparinte@mail.md”.

 

Parents and Chairman of Mihai Viteazul Lyceum Association, Anna Sirbu, said that the problems should be solved peacefully and not by protests.

 

Parents and Chairman of Elena Alistar Lyceum Association, Anna Bustiuc urged everyone to take part in the platform creation. According to her, it will be easier to carry out repairs in schools and to assist children in need. She also advised heads of educational institutions to post a panel, which will include all information on ongoing expenses.

 

The press conference participants urged all to be active and to participate in platform creating.
