LACK OF ECONOMIC EDUCATION IS A SERIOUS DRAWBACK IN MOLDOVAN SCHOOL CURRICULUM – DOUBLE CASE ANALYST

Absence of economic education is a serious shortcoming in the school curriculum of Moldova and demands rectification, maintains financial analyst Alexandru Bogdan of the “Double Case” consulting company.

He said at the Wednesday’s news conference at Infotag that more and more residents of the republic intend to earn at Forex currency markets and other platform, but are just losing money, as it is impossible to earn at Forex without financial literacy, otherwise it is just a lottery.

According to him, one of ways out of the current situation for people who want to earn at Forex despite risks, may become services of consulting companies. With all this, the notions of ‘consulting’ and ‘broker services’ should be divided, as the latter are mediators between the client and the market; besides, these are illegal in the territory of Moldova.

“Double Case” Director Ion Ghermanschi said that his company’s clients can get services and consultations not only in the field of activities on currency markets, but also on managing a private enterprise, as the client also needs to raise his financial literacy.

He said that people invest their money in currency markets, assets and immoveable property, but do not invest in education, while later got surprised about their financial losses.

“The first thing to be made before starting an enterprise is to elaborate a business plan, but a part of population even does not know what is this, all the more how to compile one”, the expert said.

Infotag’s dossier:   Forex is a global international market, where currencies are the main goods of trade. Its distinctive characteristic is the fact that prices are being formed on the basis of agreements between participants and depend only on demand for one or another currency.
