ANNA URSACHI’S COLLEAGUES DEMAND MoI TO REACT ON PUBLISHING CLOSED DATA BY PROSECUTION

05 december, 2016
ANNA URSACHI’S COLLEAGUES DEMAND MoI TO REACT ON PUBLISHING CLOSED DATA BY PROSECUTION Lawyers and colleagues of Anna Ursachi demand the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) and the Interior Ministry to react on the publishing in press of the data, available only to prosecutors.

Lawyer Anatol Stepuleac said at the Friday’s news conference at Infotag that illegal searches were conducted in the apartment, where Ana Ursachi’s father is living, on November 21.

“On my demands to people in civilian clothes, who were in the house, to name themselves and present the search warrant, I received no answer. There are suspicions that, except three people, the rest were media representatives”, the lawyer said.

According to him, next morning, some media outlets published news with compromising information.

“The sealing of the seized goods was conducted in presence of Ursachi’s father, but this information, available only to the prosecution side, got into the media. How it was possible, if the opening of the seized founds has allegedly not taken place? While before, on August 27, when Anna Ursachi was celebrating her birthday, law enforcement officers tried to stop her car. Also, the car in which I and my wife were driving was stopped. Police officers conducted examination, compiled a protocol and took the car away. The whole process was recorded on video and appeared at the Today.md website”, Stepuleac said.

He maintains that information was published by journalists in media as a result of cooperation with law enforcement agencies, while the entire process was planned and administrated by the MoI.

The lawyer said that by proxy from Ursachi he will demand a number of media to publish a disclaimer to the published information, while law enforcement agencies – to give explanations.

Stepuleac disproved the rumors that he would be Ursachi’s cohabitant and that he falsified documents.

He said he has family – a wife and two children, while due to problems that appeared after some media have published false information, he decided to change his family name to his wife’s family name.

“Everything was made legally and there are all the necessary documents, which confirm this”, Stepuleac said.

Lawyer Iulian Rusanovschi said that protest actions against Anna Ursachi, held by a group of people, including in front of her parents’ house, are illegal.

Answering to journalists’ questions about Anna Ursachi’s reaction on what is happening and on the resumption of the investigation on Moldovan woman murder, lawyers said that Ursachi’s point of view about the whole situation did not change. Besides, she received no summons neither by post nor by e-mail, this is why she does not attend hearings.
