BUSINESSMAN OUTRAGED BY DEMOLITION OF BUILDINGS BELONGING TO HIM Representative of the Ratmir company, Ramiro Stoianov is outraged by the decision, which ordered demolition of two buildings in Chisinau in the 7/1 and 9 Kiev street.

He told Infotag that the company has leased the building plots in 2002 to build an office. After obtaining all the necessary certificates and development of the building project, in 2006, they obtained the authorization and the company started construction which ended in 2014.

“The problems appeared in 2016, when the Capital Investments company, registered in Cyprus, bought the nearby Palace of Trade Unions. In its place the Capital Investments plans to build a large shopping center. In April, they addressed to the mayor’s office and the State Inspectorate for Construction with a statement about unauthorized construction works carried out by our company, however, it is the question only of the area around the office, which Ratmir overlaid with paving”, said the businessman.

According to him, the Chisinau Appeals Court took the decision in the absence of the defendant. According to the decision, Ratmir must pay the state court costs and to demolish the building within a week.

“I can’t imagine that the building with all the finishing work, will be endure. We will not leave this business and we will get if necessary to the European Court of Human Rights”, stressed the businessman.

A public activist Ilia Covalev stressed that all the court orders were taken in a hurry, when neither defendant nor his lawyer were in the country.
