RADENI CITIZENS DISSATISFIED WITH ALIENATION OF 100 HECTARES OF PASTURE Residents of the commune of Radeni, the Straseni Raion, are dissatisfied with the alienation of 100 hectares of pasture, considering that the primaria [local government] sells land illegally, reported a resident of the commune Maria Popa.

According to her, the Radeni primaria put up for sale more than 100 hectares of public pastures, part of the land already is already sold and the other part is in the process of preparation for sale.

“The local administration, namely Petru Rabdau, elected from the Democratic Party by the decision of March 1, 2016, withdrew 100 hectares of land from public ownership without consultation with local residents”, she said.

She stressed that the pasture is the only way to feed the cattle in the commune. The Radeni citizens contacted the law enforcement agencies but have not received a satisfactory answer to the statement signed by 327 villagers.

Another resident of the commune, Gheorghe Ispas said that part of the land was sold long before the current mayor from the DPM.

The commune residents invite representatives of the President, the Parliament, the Government, Prosecutor’s Office and MoI as well a free press, diplomatic missions and the Ministry of the Environment on Sunday, April 2, to attend the meeting of the commune resident in the house of culture. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss legal ways to annul the decision on pasture alienation.
