USA WILL HELP MOLDOVA DIVERSIFY ENERGY MARKETS - JOSE FERNANDEZ

The United States will help Moldova diversify energy markets, the USA Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment Jose W. Fernandez stated upon completion of his visit to Chisinau.

Mr. Fernandez said on the Jurnal TV channel that he was impressed by Moldova's determination to move towards European integration, as well as by how the country's authorities manage to solve energy and economic problems, despite the challenges associated with energy and regional security in the context of the war in Ukraine.

“I am very much impressed with what Moldova has managed to do now when it comes to this unjust and brutal war launched by Russia against Ukraine, and I see the consequences. You have inflation, you have high energy prices, and at the same time, we see the determination of a part of the population to accept more than 100,000 refugees… We are trying to help Moldova to get diversified. Now there are energy ties with other countries, with the European Union, with Romania,” Jose Fernandez said.
