MAIB CONVENES SHAREHOLDERS' ANNUAL MEETING ON JULY 22
The country's largest commercial Moldova Agroindbank is convening an Annual Meeting of its shareholders on July 22, according to the MAIB Board decision of June10.
The forum's agenda includes 6 main questions: the 2020 Annual Financial Report; the 2020 MAIB Board Report; On the norms of 2021 profit distribution; On introducing amendments to the MAIB Charter; On the distribution of profits, including the repayment of dividends; On the system of long-term motivation for the MAIB leadership, medium-level managers and key bank employees. In connection with the epidemiological situation, the MAIB leadership assures the shareholders that it will take all necessary anti-coronavirus measures at holding the Annual Meeting in accordance with the decisions of Moldova's corresponding state bodies.
As was already reported by Infotag, in 2020 the MAIB earned a net profit of 524 million lei. Due to the pandemic, the Bank did not repay dividends for 2019, when its profits had reached a record-breaking figure of 703 million lei. The MAIB leadership received from the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) permission for repaying dividends, though in a size smaller than MAIB had requested. The NBM permitted Agroindbank to use for dividend repaying only 17% of the profit earned. That's why MAIB will repay slightly less than 200 lei per each 200-lei-nominal share.
