EX-EMPLOYEES OF ANSA ACCUSE ITS LEADERSHIP OF ABUSES AND INEFFICIENT MANAGEMENT
Former employees of the National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA) Cristina Gradinaru, Alexandru Prodan and Dumitru Puha accuse the institution's director Radu Musteata of abuses and inefficient management.

Cristina Gradinaru, former head of the Phytosanitary Products and Fertilizers Control Department, told at a press conference at INFOTAG on Wednesday that the situation at the Agency had "radically" changed for the worse after the 2021 management change.

In particular, she noted that "the director Radu Musteata personally urged her to leave her position, and after refusal, psychological pressure, appeals to the prosecutor's office, finally disciplinary action and dismissal followed." But, according to Gradinaru, she was reinstated in February 2024 by a court decision, but was fired again in April.

The former head of the Agency's territorial unit in Floresti, Alexandru Prodan, reported that he was dismissed from his position in November 2021 by Musteata's order on the grounds that he "did not fit into the team". A similar case happened with the former head of the territorial division of Balti, Dumitru Puha, the head of the Cahul division, Tudor Moraru, and other employees.

Those dismissed went to court and were reinstated, but according to them "Musteata refuses to fulfill the court decision and dismisses them again." They note that "as a result of the abuses, a sum of almost 2 million lei should be paid from the state budget as compensation."
