RADU ALBOT PASSES INTO 1/16 FINALS OF INTERNATIONAL TENNIS TOURNAMENT OF ATP 500 SERIES

Moldova's Radu Albot, ranking the 97th in the ATP rating, defeated American tennis player Marcos Giron (69) in a tense match with a score of 2:1 (6-3, 5-7, 7-5), and reached the 1/16 finals of the international tournament City Open from the ATP 500 series in Washington. In the second round, he will play on August 2 with fellow US tennis player Jay John Wolfe (45). There are only 13 tournaments of the ATP 500 series in a season. The winner receives 500 points. There are 48 participants in the main draw of the singles City Open, of which six make their way through several rounds of qualification.
