Poland is among the top ten leading economic partners of the Republic of Moldova, reads the joint article issued by the Warsaw Enterprise Institute (WEI) and the Association for External Policy (APE) of Moldova.

The authors of the article headlined “The Course of the Game: Poland - Moldova”, Octavian Milevski and Natalia Stercul, wrote that Poland in 2022 ranked eighth on the list of countries to which Moldova exports its goods.

“In 2022, the volume of exports to Poland amounted to $122.5 million. This share of exports was 2.8% of Moldova’s total exports. Moldova imported $302.8 million worth of products from Poland, which accounted for 3.3% of the republic’s total imports”, the publication said.

The comparative analysis carried out by the authors with previous periods shows the systematic growth of the Moldovan-Polish economic relations.

The article provides data on the number of enterprises in the Republic of Moldova having Polish capitals. As of mid-June 2022, more than 90 such enterprises were registered in this republic. Their aggregate investment in the Moldovan economy exceeded 11 million euros. In terms of invested capital, Poland ranks 22nd among foreign investors in Moldova.
