"GAZPROM REVEALS "SETTLING OF TRANSIT GAS DESTINED FOR MOLDOVA IN UKRAINE"

22 november, 2022

The Russian concern "Gazprom" has detected "settling in Ukraine of Russian gas destined for delivery to the Moldovan consumers under a contract with the “Moldovagaz” company." INFOTAG reports that the Russian company announced this in its Telegram –channel on Tuesday.

According to the Russian concern, "the volume of gas supplied by “Gazprom” to the Sudzha gas metering station (GMS) for transit to Moldova through the territory of Ukraine exceeds the physical volume transmitted at the Ukrainian-Moldovan border."

"On November 21, “Moldovagaz”, in accordance with the contract, paid "Gazprom" a part of the gas supplies for November. The volume of actually supplied Russian gas, in respect of which the payment for current supplies in November is broken, amounts to 24.945 million cubic meters. The total accumulated volume of settlements on the territory of Ukraine is 52.52 million cubic meters," the supplier claims.

At the same time, “Gazprom” warned that "in case the transit imbalance through Ukraine for Moldovan consumers persists, “Gazprom” will start reducing gas supplies to Sudzha gas transiting through Ukraine at 10:00 a.m. on November 28 in the volume of daily under-supply.”
