DEFENSE MINISTRY DISPELS RUMORS ABOUT MOBILIZATION IN MOLDOVA

The Moldovan Ministry of Defense denied rumors about mobilization in Moldova.

The official telegram channel of the Government, Prima Sursa, reported on Monday: “The Ministry of Defense states that the information that a general military mobilization will be announced in the Republic of Moldova, which appeared in the media from the Russian Federation, is false.”

The Ministry reminded that according to the law, mobilization begins with the declaration of a state of siege or martial law. At the same time, the Parliament announces the mobilization on the proposal of the Supreme Security Council. And the President of the Republic of Moldova may announce, upon the approval of the Parliament, a partial or general mobilization.

“There is no state of siege in the Republic of Moldova; there are no circumstances for or plans to announce mobilization. We urge everyone to receive information only from reliable and official sources. Together we can prevent disinformation,” the message emphasizes.
