OPINION POLL REVEALS THAT MAIA SANDU, IGOR DODON AND ION CHICU ARE POPULAR-MOST POLITICIANS IN MOLDOVA

Moldovan President Maia Sandu, Party of Socialists (PSRM) leader Igor Dodon and ex-Prime Minister Ion Chicu who heads the PDCM are the most popular politicians in Moldova, as per the opinion poll findings presented by the Date Inteligente (iData) sociological company on Monday.

In the rating of trust in politicians, Maia Sandu is in the lead (22.3%), ex-President Igor Dodon (7.8%) is in the second place, and former Prime Minister Ion Chicu (6%) is in third place. Next come fugitive oligarch Ilan Sor (5.9%) and Mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban (3.7%). At the same time, 10.8% respondents do not trust in any of the politicians, and 47.2% found it difficult to answer.

When asked about voting in the upcoming local elections on November 5, 19% said they would vote for representatives of PAS, 11.8% for the Bloc of Communists and Socialists, 6.4% for the National Alternative Movement (MAN). And 35.5% found it difficult to answer.

Chisinau citizens who participated in the survey were asked about the elections of the capital's mayor, and it turned out that 47.3% are ready to support incumbent Mayor Ion Ceban, and 15% are ready to support PAS candidate Lilian Carp.
