PRIME MINISTER DORIN RECEAN CALLS ON COMPETENT AUTHORITIES TO “MAINTAIN VIGILANCE” AMID HYBRID WAR

Prime Minister Dorin Recean called on competent authorities to “maintain vigilance” amid the hybrid war. As reported by INFOTAG, at the beginning of the meeting with ministers on Wednesday, Recean raised the issue of the “gravity of the hybrid war” being waged against Moldova.

“Recently, the criminal group 'Shor' began using elderly people to transport cash. This is cynical. We have witnessed competent authorities seizing over a million dollars in cash. These are dirty money, funds obtained from a criminal group to threaten national security,” Recean said.

He urged competent authorities to maintain vigilance, as such actions will continue in the future.

The Prime Minister also called for the continuation of internal reforms in the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA). He urged ANSA Director Radu Musteata to continue “purging” the institution, despite various insinuations – “public statements by those who previously worked in ANSA and exerted pressure on economic agents.”

Former employees of the Agency, who held leadership positions in territorial administrations, including veterinarians, have previously criticized the leadership of ANSA, complaining that they were dismissed from their positions due to disagreements with the current director's policies.
