MOLDOVA SEEKS TO DEEPEN STRATEGIC DIALOG WITH USA – PRESIDENT MAIA SANDU

President Maia Sandu has confirmed Moldova’s desire “to deepen strategic dialog with one of its main development partners – the United States”. She stated this in her Monday’s meeting with Robin Dunnigan, the Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs of the U.S. Department of State.

Sandu wrote in social networks afterwards: “We discussed problems faced by Republic of Moldova citizens and our country’s development agenda being promoted by the Government. Robin Dunnigan assured me the United States would be backing the implementation of this agenda”.

The interlocutors exchanged opinions about the Moldova-USA relations, including the programs of assistance for Moldova’s development financed by the United States.

President Sandu expressed gratitude for the generous support provided by the USA for the development of communities and local enterprises as well as for the American help in combating the COVID-19 pandemic.
