DEFENSE MINISTRY REFUTES INFORMATION ABOUT RECRUITMENT OF CITIZENS FOR CONTRACT SERVICE OR FOREIGN LEGION

The Ministry of Defense has denied information about the recruitment of citizens for contract service or foreign legion. The ministry issued a refutation after posters appeared in the city calling for citizens to enroll for contract service in the Moldovan army or a foreign legion.

"New disinformation directed against the National Army. This time the fakes take a different form - posters with a call for military service under contract are pasted on buildings and poles. The Defense Ministry warns that the content of these materials is manipulative and does not correspond to reality," the Defense Ministry said.

According to the report, the recruitment of servicemen to the National Army by contract is promoted through official channels of the Defense Ministry and the government. At the same time, citizens are informed about vacancies in the defense ministry through the National Employment Agency and job fairs.

The Inspectorate General of Police is investigating and identifying and locating those involved. The Ministry of Defense urged citizens who noticed such posters to call 0 (22) 25 22 92 or report to imma@army.md.
