TURKMENISTAN PRESIDENT DECORATED WITH GAGAUZIA’S ORDER

On Thursday, Bashkan [Governor] of Gagauzia Irina Vlah handed in the autonomy’s supreme state award, the Order of Gagauz Yeri [Gagauz Land], to President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The southern Moldovan autonomous region has thus marked the President’s “personal contribution to the development of relations between the two fraternal peoples”. The decorating ceremony took place on the Turkmenistan President’s 60th birthday anniversary. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that the construction by Turkmenistan of a state-of-the-art kindergarten in the Gagauzia village of Cismichioi was only the first step.
