Chisinau, October 18 (Infotag). Liberal Party Deputy Chairman Dorin Chirtoaca, who is running for Chisinau Mayor as candidate #1 on the list, convened a news conference in Infotag today to inform the media about his campaign objectives. The first thing he began from was the question of mobilization of the electorate to the polls on November 27.

The young politician, in his mid-20s only, pointed out, “Situation will complicate seriously if voters again ignore the event and if the elections are again recognized as void, like it happened last July. I do hope other candidates will also be calling upon their voters to be active at the elections”.

Unlike in July when Dorin Chirtoaca polled only about 7%, he has by now made changes in his electoral program – in particular concerning providing households with hot water and central heating, mitigation of natural calamity consequences, the opening of an office for consumer rights protection, snow removal off city streets, etc.

The candidate said his program has 3 main sections – problems of Chisinau proper, problems of Chisinau suburbs, and improvement of Chisinau Municipality’s work.

The updated program has preserved essential provisions from the previous paper such as ensuring housing for socially vulnerable groups, modernization of water supply facilities, repair of roads, improvement of public transport’s functioning, and other.
