IRINA VLAH: MOLDOVAN CITIZENS WORRIED ABOUT DEMOGRAPHIC CRISIS AND MILITARY ACTIONS OF THE AUTHORITIES
Irina Vlah, founder of Platform Moldova, named two key problems that concern Moldovan citizens at the end of the national campaign “Voice of the People” - the demographic crisis and the actions of the authorities in the military field.

At a press conference at INFOTAG on Monday, Vlah said that meetings with citizens across the country, which took place over two months, revealed their obvious fears that “the able-bodied population is leaving en masse.”

“Villages are emptying out, citizens are leaving abroad en masse, the very foundation of our society is being destroyed every day. In the last two years alone, more than 120,000 people have left the country for good, a significant part of whom are young people, and this is a great tragedy. I have publicly reported this problem many times, appealed to the country's leadership, including President Maia Sandu. But it seems that she is not interested in this problem, on which the present and future of our country depends, as well as the representatives of the PAS party,” the politician said.

According to her, another equally important problem citizens call the preservation of peace in the country.

“This is due to the alarming events that suggest that our authorities are preparing for some scenarios that undermine peace in Moldova,” the former Bascan of Gagauzia said.
