OPPOSITION FORMATIONS LEADERS CALL ON CITIZENS NOT TO VOTE FOR PARLIAMENTARY PARTIES

The Party of Regions, the “Moldova’s Patriots” and the Socialists Party launched on Monday an initiative “No vote for parliamentary parties!”

Leader of the Party of Regions, Gagauzia Bashkan [governor] Mikhail Formuzal said on the press conference at Infotag that the voters “should learn to punish politicians for their failures and unfulfilled promises”.

He cited text of the message to Moldovan citizens, which says that the ruling Coalition for Pro-European Governance “has failed the reforms in the social, political and economic sectors”.

“This is a deception of the electorate. During all the 23 years of the Republic of Moldova existence, an imitation of reforms is taking place, giving no results. We propose that the parties, which did not fulfill their electoral promises, could not get to the Parliament again. Had no success, achieved nothing, deceived - good buy, “bon voyage” to the political archives”, said Formuzal.

He believes that of 34 parties, registered in the country, the population has a wide choice.

“Moldova’s Patriots” Chairman Mihail Garbuz stressed that neither the opposition party of Communists should be elected to the Parliament.

“They were playing their game, were involved in populism, demonstrating a pseudo fight for mythical rights”, believes he.

Formuzal announced that during the remaining three months, Moldovans will be informed via internet, personal meetings, newspapers and flyers about the existence of parties, others than those from the current Parliament, about their priorities, alternative projects for the development of Moldova.

According to him, the unifying idea of all the three parties is Moldova’s statehood.

“We are ready for the dialog with all the healthy powers, except those parties, which are now present in the Parliament and has totally discredited themselves”, said the Bashkan.

He believes that after November 30, at least two new parties will come to the Parliament, while the Democrats and Liberals will leave.

The Party of Regions Leader underlined that he is not afraid of criminal cases, initiated against him, according to which he is an organizer of extremist actions.

“Note that authorities are initiating criminal cases against all the leaders of groups, who support the statehood and patriotism. I am sure that all these cases will come to nothing immediately after the election results announcement. We have already been there”, concluded the politician.
