SOCIAL ACTIVISTS CALL BUIUCANI COURT AND APPEALS CHAMBER TO CONTROL JUDGES’ WORK Human right activist Igor Caldare drew attention of heads of the Sectorul Buiucani court of Chisinau and the Chisinau Appeals Chamber to the judges’ indecent behavior, whom he compared to ‘a scabby sheep, that will mar a whole flock’.

During the news conference at Infotag, Caldare said that heads of these institutions – Dorin Dolghieru and Ion Plesca should know what kind of things their subordinates are doing.

“In Moldova there are a lot of decent and honest judges. But due to certain judges, the country’s whole justice system suffers”, said Caldare.

He says that by means of his statements he hopes to raise interest to such judges as Iurie Turcan, from Sectorul Riscani court of Chisinau, while already in the process of investigation it will become possible to get to those who ordered these cases.

Businessman Denis Ureche, who attended the news conference, said that with the help of such judges like Turcan, over 20 falsified civil cases have been accumulated in the Sectorul Riscani court of Chisinau.

Caldare and Ureche told how Judge Galina Moscalciuc from the Sectorul Buiucani court issued the decision on the case of Alexei Creciun, who died six months ago and was buried in Stefan Voda raion.

According to Caldare, the deceased Creciun according to documents is head of the company Sistem Construct SRL, which received credits in Banca de Economii (BEM, Moldova’s savings bank).

Igor Caldare said that Alexei Creciun was killed on April 13, 2014, but judges of Moldovan court worked on his complaints, signing documents on his behalf.

“We, human right activists, slowly, step by step will get to this justice system and will force it to work fairly and transparently”, noted Caldare, saying that on February 17, 2015 the Chisinau Appeals Chamber approved the decision of judge Moscalciuc on the Creciun’s complaint.

Denis Ureche and Igor Caldare said that Alexei Creciun formally headed two companies, to which the BEM provided 2.9 million euros. This money has not been returned so far and will hardly ever be returned.
