11.04.2006  ISRAEL AND MOLDOVA TO COLLABORATE WITHIN DOCTORS AGAINST TERROR PROJECT

Chisinau, April 12 (Infotag). Israel is going to collaborate with Moldova in the framework of the Doctors Against Terror project, Director of the Israeli subdivision of the World Congress of Russian Jewry, Julia Kaplan, told a news conference in Infotag today.

This week, a representative Congress delegation is paying a visit to Moldova, sharing with Moldovan colleagues their experience of rendering help to terror victims. Julia Kaplan said Israeli doctors have a vast experience of providing medical and psychological help to such victims. The Association of doctors working in this sphere presently united 296 specialists.

Kaplan pointed out Moldovan specialists’ interest to Israeli colleagues, and voiced hope for a close and lasting cooperation.

Dr. Leo Krivchansky, Deputy Director of the Moldovan National Center for Emergency Medicine, believes that besides medical doctors, such training should be provided also to the Moldovan military, emergency and rescue subdivisions, and firefighters.

Branches of the World Congress of Russian Jewry operate in 28 countries. In 2005, the Congress got registered with the World Health Organization.
