​ENERGY MINISTER PARTICIPATES IN INFORMAL MEETING OF EU ENERGY MINISTERS IN BRUSSELS

Energy Minister Victor Parlicov is participating in an informal meeting of energy ministers from EU member states in Brussels. As related by the Ministry's press service for "INFOTAG," the event brought together ministers from 27 EU countries and representatives of ministries from those countries that are EU partners.

Participants in the meeting will exchange views on coordinated network planning, financing, and risk reduction of infrastructure investments, as well as accelerating the development of energy infrastructure.

In his speech at the meeting, Victor Parlicov emphasized the importance of strengthening energy security in light of current threats in the region. He also spoke about the need to connect the Republic of Moldova to the EU energy system and the European energy market.

"Synchronization of the national energy system with the European energy network ENTSO-E will not only bring it into line with the European electricity infrastructure but also help Moldova gain access to a competitive market," Parlicov said.
