MP MARINA TAUBER DOES NOT RULE OUT THAT THE OPPOSITION MAY HAVE A SINGLE CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT

Deputy Marina Tauber does not exclude the possibility that opposition parties may nominate a single candidate for president. She announced this on Wednesday at a press conference at the INFOTAG agency.

"We (Ilana Shor's team - "I.") are discussing with opposition parties the possibility of nominating a single candidate for the presidential elections. Perhaps it will be a single candidate, or perhaps the situation will develop differently. We understand perfectly well that we would have won in practically all populated areas if we and the "Chance" party, which we supported, had not been removed from the local elections in the fall of 2023. Therefore, undoubtedly, the candidate supported by our political force will lead our country. In the near future, we will announce whom we will support as a presidential candidate. The presidential elections this year are not a struggle for power, but a struggle for our country to continue its existance. Because we are sinking, and not slowly, but very quickly," Tauber believes.

The parliamentarian emphasized that the government must be replaced, as well as Moldova's foreign policy course.

"For us, the goal of rapprochement with Russia, the Eurasian Union, has become important in order to save Moldova's economic and social sphere, which is currently in a catastrophic state...," the deputy said.
