“RENAISSANCE” PARTY AFTER VISIT TO MOSCOW: RUSSIA READY FOR DIALOGUE AND COMPREHENSIVE COOPERATION
Representatives of the “Renaissance” party summarized their visit to Moscow last week, where they held meetings in the State Duma, the Federation Council, and participated in the international economic forum in the CIS. Deputy Irina Lozovan said on Friday at a press conference at the INFOTAG agency that “there was great interest in the party delegation in Moscow.”

“We once again saw that we are awaited, we are known. We saw a great interest in the Moldovan delegation, readiness for dialogue, comprehensive cooperation between the CIS countries, in particular with the Russian Federation. The authorities (of Moldova) must understand that the breakdown of dialogue, economic, diplomatic relations with the CIS, Russia will lead to a real catastrophe in the economy and social sphere. This works against our people,” she said.

Deputy Vasile Bolea said that the delegation met with a deputy of the State Duma, the chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, Leonid Slutsky. According to Bolea, in the future, the two parties may sign a cooperation agreement. Bolea believes that soon, after the presidential and parliamentary elections, there will be a change in the political elites in Moldova, pragmatic leaders will come to power who will be able to normalize relations with Russia.

Deputy Alexandr Suhodolschi talked about a meeting with Senator Alexei Pushkov. According to him, a whole range of issues were discussed, including “unprecedented pressure exerted by the authorities on opposition politicians who see an alternative path for the country's development, including in restoring relations with Russia.”

“CIS countries, Russia - our historical partners, brothers are ready to return to normal, healthy diplomatic, socio-economic relations with Moldova, which will ensure dynamic development for the republic,” stated Bolea.

All three deputies were elected to parliament on the lists of the Socialist and Communist Bloc. Last year, they left the Socialist Party, became “independent parliamentarians,” and joined the “Renaissance” party.
