MOLDOVAGAZ ASKS ANRE TO REDUCE GAS TARIFFS FOR CONSUMERS

26 april, 2024

Moldovagaz asked National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) to reduce the gas tariff for consumers. As reported by INFOTAG, this was announced in his Telegram channel by the chairman of the company's board, Vadim Ceban.

“According to the calculation project, the weighted average tariff for the supply of natural gas is proposed to be reduced to 10,095 lei per thousand cubic meters, or by 9.3%. The main factors that necessitated a revision of the tariffs were the significant decrease in procurement prices for natural gas on the TTF platform and a noticeable decrease in the volumes of natural gas sales to consumers,” Ceban noted.

Vadim Ceban stated that a tariff reduction is proposed in varying proportions for different gas transportation networks. In the case of low-pressure networks, to which all residential and some non-residential consumers are connected, the tariff will be 12,200 lei (excluding VAT) per thousand cubic meters, which is 8.9% lower than the current tariff. Including VAT, the tariff for residential consumers will be 13.19 lei per cubic meter. This year will mark the second reduction in the gas tariff. At the end of February, ANRE reduced the gas tariff for residential consumers from 18.07 lei (including VAT) to 14.47 lei (including VAT) per cubic meter.
