Chisinau, November 14 (Infotag). The Conservative Party of Moldova, which first appeared on the local political arena last July, has made its Political Program public.

Party Chairperson Natalia Nirca told a news conference in Infotag today that the new party’s main objectives are as follows: a sound foreign and domestic policy for Moldova, raising of living standards, and changing the Moldovan society as a whole.

In her words, the party has 10 thousand members, and its key priorities are: a reform of state governance; national economy modernization and poverty reduction; consolidation of democracy; guarantees for private property and its development; improving of the investment climate in the country; observance of national minorities’ rights; close collaboration with other countries.

The new party’s emblem features a bunch of grapes, symbolizing adherence to national traditions, stability and welfare of the nation.

The Conservatives stand for reintegration of the Republic of Moldova. They believe that with a correct tax policy, the rate of inflation in this republic should not exceed 10%, and that the GDP will be growing thank to the introduction of modern scientific achievements and up-to-date know-how into industry and agriculture, and through developing the services sector, tourism, commerce, and the output of ecologically clean products.

The Conservatives propose to suppress credit interest rates, and to put an end to sharp fluctuations of the Moldovan leu’s exchange rate against other currencies.

The CPM Program features reforms in the spheres of state management, farm sector, tourism, public health and social protection, education, sciences, and culture.
